1902 Teutonia Maennerchor Concert Program Germania Social Club Chicago Antique

Description: This is an original antique 1902 program the Teutonia Maennerchor Conzert at Schoenhofen’s Halle in Chicago. This program is an oblong booklet format of 20 pages including the covers measuring about 10.5” x 7.75”. The front cover indicates this concert was held 23 November 1902. This program is mostly German language text and includes lots of local Chicago advertising including a couple full page brewery ads and lots of ads for German owned businesses. The Maennerchor was a German social club. The Germania Maennerchor in Chicago was one of the largest and most well established of these German social clubs in the United States after being originally formed in 1865 to perform songs while Abraham Lincoln’s body lay in state in Chicago prior to being buried in Springfield. This antique original program is fully complete. The program has some separation between the covers along the spine and is otherwise in very good condition overall. Email any questions.
