Description: Description: This is a very nice hardback copy of an early edition of the book The Son of Tarzan by Edgar Rice Burroughs. It has a green cover and measures 7.5" x 5" x 1 1/8". The first page has the original owner's name, address and other information (including the date - "7/18/20"), all written in pencil. This book was published by A.L. Burt Co. of New York in 1918 and was beautifully illustrated by J. Allen St. John (see the photos). This has 394 numbered pages, with some blank pages and pages with publishing ads at the end. This early book would make a wonderful addition to any Tarzan collection Condition: It isn't perfect but it IS very nice for its age (over 100 years old). It appears to be complete. The cover is a bit stained (best seen in the photos) and the edges show some wear. The interior pages are pretty nice, but are a bit brown from age. There is some separation on the front cover, but the back is OK. I did a quick flip of the pages and didn't see any tears or folds.
