Five of these six girls are finalists in the contest to choose the new queen of the Minneapolis fire department - a title to be known from now on as "Miss Flame." The sixth girl, front and center, is Marge Harveaux, 634 NE Jackson Street, the present queen of the department. The candidates are, from left, Marcia Woodward, 3117 S. 3rd Avenue; Mary Johnstone, Rt. 5, Excelsior; Arlene McReavy, 628 SE. 6th Street; Bette Ballek, 7424 S. Bryant Avenue, Richfield, and Barbara Lundeen, 2808 NE. St. Anthony Boulevard. The queen will be chosen at the Coronation ball October 10 at the Calhoun Beach hotel. The ball is open to the public.
