Description: This listing is for the porcelain bisque doll that you see in the photos. I purchased it an estate sale in Oregon where I was not told its history. I am guessing that it is a reproduction of an antique JDK doll made in 1989. The body is marked, “PM”. The neck is marked, “PM”. The marks on the head are difficult to read with some being obscure but I think that they should be read, “Made in Germany 16 J.D.K. 237”. I am guessing that the number is 237 because of some research that I have done. I might be wrong. There are two small letters to the left of the "Made in Germany" that I have not made sense of. They might be read "Jb" but I am not sure that they should be. The doll measures close to 18 inches long. With the clothing, it weighs close to 3 pounds 6.4 ounces. The condition is much like you see it in the 28 photos after the main description. I have not removed its clothing but I have looked at the exposed areas and felt the covered areas and I have not detected any cracks or breaks. The photos show a little soil in the form of some light gray lines on the arms and a hand that other than lightly wiping them with plain water I have not tried to clean. I think that they could probably be cleaned off. The doll is a little dusty. The bands holding it together seem a bit loose to me but I know little about dolls so they might be normal. Otherwise, this doll is generally fine and as shown. My photos should give you a good idea of its general condition. I guarantee this doll to be as described and represented by the 28 photos after the general description. The photos are part of the description. Please look at all of them. Please know that the lighting in my photos is uneven and that there might be shadows or reflections. The colors on my monitor look close to but not exactly like the actual colors. Different monitors may show different colors. I often say that an item measures or weighs “close to” because in my opinion no measurements are exact and some things are difficult to measure. I like to leave feedback after I know that the item has arrived and that the buyer is satisfied. I reserve the right to cancel any bids without explanation. I frequently purchase signature delivery for my more valuable packages because of the possibility of them being stolen off of a porch or damaged by weather. I often but not always ship the same or the next day. Often, I have a double wall box custom made for larger items and that might result in a short delay. When I use packing peanuts, they are usually biodegradable. Sometimes, I use used boxes. Please email me with any questions or suggestions. I do not ship on weekends. I might not be available to answer email on weekends. 28 photos should load with this listing.
