Description: 2024 SARRACENIA SEEDS: KEW GARDENS X FLAVA RUBRICORPORA [CARNIVOROUS PLANT SEED] Code: 128: 24HF12 This listing includes: One pack of approximately 30 Sarracenia seeds from the following cross: Mother (pod) plant: S. “Kew Gardens” (alabamensis x flava var. rubricorpora) An extremely dark plant that looks black when fully colored up. Tends to pass along the deep, dark color to its offspring in my experience. Medium height with a great pitcher and lid shape. Makes pitchers throughout the growing season thanks to its mixed seasonality genetics. Father (pollen) plant: S. flava var. rubricorpora A very large flava var. rubricorpora that gets up to 30in tall for me. It is vigorous and divides readily. I have multiples of these, and they are always strong growers and flower profusely. 1st picture shows the two parent plants. 2nd picture shows the mother (pod) parent. 3rd picture shows the father (pollen) parent. 4th picture shows an example of the seeds you will get (not the quantity). 5th picture shows an example of how I bag my Sarracenia flowers in the spring. This cross was made in the Spring of 2024 and the seeds were harvested when ripe later in the same year. The cross was done carefully by hand. All manual crosses had bagged flowers to avoid any unwanted pollen contamination by nature. After harvest and drying, the seeds have been stored dry in the fridge to maximize longevity and viability. These seeds have NOT been stratified. You will need to do that yourself. I have been growing Sarracenia for 15 years and my goal is to make quality seeds and plants affordable to anyone that is interested in growing these amazing plants.
