This glove is for the RIGHT handed thrower as the glove fits on the LEFT hand ! This particular glove is fully broken in , it is very flexible , and it is totally game ready ! This mitt is totally easy for a young player to use and your young player will not struggle with a hard to use glove ! These gloves are not overly padded and that’s why it makes for a great broken in glove and easy to use glove ! So the goal is, is to catch the ball in the pocket ! But if you feel you need to compensate for the padding you can also wear a sting pad or a padded batting glove , which most catchers at the higher levels do ! The glove also has a great pocket as you can clearly see in the photos ! So once the ball enters the pocket of this mitt it is not going to pop out ! Check out the 4th and the 5th photos how the glove just wraps itself around the baseball while the 6th photo shows how the glove looks in the closed position without a ball in the pocket while the 7th photo shows how the glove wraps itself around a full size 12 inch round softball ( Thats in case you decided to use this glove for softball ) ! The inner lining is in excellent condition and the glove is extremely comfortable to the hand and the fingers all the way up through the finger stalls ! As far as fitting goes, this glove fits my adult size hand comfortably with a nice snugness ! So its perfect for any youth ! There was a name written on the outer thumb area but I was able to cover this with a matching acrylic leather paint as best as I could and you can see this in the photos !
