Superb rare and unusual piece, an eagle/dragon claw handle pestle with natural banded agate ball head. Hollow cast brass, chrome-plated metal with absolutely great attention to details. The agate ball with internal cracks from traces of use but no missing pieces of the stone or chipping. Agate is a very dense material that does not allow bacteria or other contaminants to settle on its surface, reducing the risk of cross-contamination. A superb rare find, probably was used by old pharmacist, alchemist or for even witch crafting. A true museum piece.
