Description: Fine silk Souvenir de France apron dates to WW1 and is in a very pale aqua blue silk lavishly trimmed with French filet lace. Both pockets have 'Souvenir de France' embroidered on them and the apron is 'pinnie' style, meaning the top part just gets pinned to the garment under it, and then ties around the waist. In very good condition, with silk ruffle at the waist as well as at the top, and with one small pinhole on the lower apron and a couple of age related dots, this is a wonderful example of the souvenirs WW1 soldiers would sent home to wives, sweethearts, moms and sisters from France. Slip underneath is not included in this listing. I cannot accept returns on these antique items, so please read the description thoroughly, view all photos and ask any questions before purchase, thank you!
