The ball is signed on the sweet spot by 1952 American League most valuable player, Bobby Shantz! Bobby was a pitcher for the Yankees. The ball is in excellent shape. There is no evidence of any rips, stains, tears, abrasions, or discoloration. The autograph is directly on the sweet spot and carries an inscription below it that says “1952, AL MVP”. The signature and inscription are very light as you can see from the photographs. However, there is no evidence of any bleeding or smudges on the autograph and inscription. The autograph is still very readable. This autographed baseball comes with a certificate of authenticity from a company called “fruit of the lens.” This company, certifies that the autograph is authentic and is guaranteed to pass any PSA/DNA or JSA certification.
