Description: Copland - Garrison County Sheriff's Department - New Jersey This embroidered patch is only and exclusively available from our site This is the fictional patch of the Town of Garrison New Jersey Sheriff’s Department which is worn by the character of Sheriff Freddy Heflin (Sylvester Stallone) and Deputies Cindy Betts (Janeane Garofalo) and Bill Geisler (Noah Emmerich) in the 1997 James Mangold film “Cop Land”. Police Officers from New York City wanted a safe haven to live away the streets of New York City, so they established a “Cop Land” in the small fictional New Jersey Town of GARRISON. The story concerns Sheriff Freddy Heflin who becomes involved with an investigation of the NY cops following an incident which involved an off duty shooting by police officer Murray “Superboy” Babitch (Michael Rapaport) who reportedly commits suicide shortly after the incident by jumping of a bridge. Freddy is approached by NYC Internal Affairs Detective Mo Tilden (Robert DeNiro) for help, who is investigating the incident to include his main suspect Lieutenant Ray Donlan (Harvey Keitel). With help from his morally damaged undercover NYC Detective friend Gary “Figs” Figgis (Ray Liotta), Freddy has to take on the corrupt cops in his small town of Garrison in an effort to locate and protect “Superboy” who can testify against Lt. Donlan, before Lt. Donlan finds and kills “Superboy”. The patch is approximately five and a half inches wide by six and half inches high and is a little blue background with gold trim and lettering (SHERIFF) and (GARRISON N.J.) boxed in a dark blue color box. The center seal consists of a five pointed gold star with a representation of the town’s logo which is a large mast sailing ship surrounded by the letter “G” (for Garrison) and the lettering identifier of “Town of Garrison, New Jersey” in gold on a red color circular boarder. The words “Sheriff’s” (on the left) and “Dept” (on the right) appear in red on each side of the center star / seal. The patch is brand new and has never been used and can be displayed or worn (for legal purposes!) conventions, costume, etc. This patch is a replica and has not been “screen or production used”.
