Description: This custom handmade necklace is made with a year-specific Roosevelt or Mercury Dime (date dependent - see below) and a 20-inch Sterling Silver curb chain with lobster clasp.Mercury Dimes were produced from 1916 to 1945. These dimes are composed of 90% silver/10%copper.Roosevelt Dimes were produced from 1946 to current. From 1946 through 1964 these dimes contained 90% silver/10%copper. Starting in 1965 the composition was changed to a copper (75%)-nickel(25%) outer layer bonded to a core of pure copper.Giving a necklace with a coin from the person’s birth year is a special gift they will enjoy and treasure forever.This item will be sent with a birthday display card.
