Description: This Desmond Stephan 31S is in great condition. It was pretty dirty as found but it cleaned up some after using dawn detergent and water on it. Looks like a lot of the original paint is still on it. It has the US Navy anchor stamp on it. I've been told only a few have ever had the Navy stamp and that it's possibly from 40s or 50s. These are great looking vises and are really stout in build quality. The jaws are solid and it has some serious heft for a 3-1\8” vise. This is an Estate Find. It has set in the man's garage so it does have the normal suface rust. I'm selling it "as is". It has 3 1/8” wide jaws with a 2 1/2” throat depth. Max opening is 5 1/2” Weight is close to 27lbs but will ship Priority Mail in a "if it fits it ships" large box to keep the cost down.
