Used for fastening a harness and back plate securely to a diver's body, the 2" (5.1cm) crotch strap is used to reduce the likelihood of gear slipping upwards on the diver's body while in the water, resulting in the tank hitting the back of the head during a dive. Continuous 42" (106.7cm) piece of nylon webbing provides security with 2,800 lbs (1,270kg) of tensile strength yet is soft and won't dig into the body. Crotch strap includes aneoprenerubber sleeve to protect exposure suit from abrasion and add comfort. Crotch strap comes with welded 304-stainless steel scooter ring for attachment to scooter leash, weighs 6 oz (170g) and is made in the U.S.A.
