Hand Painted Alchemy "Soulmate" Stone with Multicolored Twin Mandala Design

Description: A small-to-medium sized hand painted Alchemy Stone with a double "star mandala" style design connected by multiple lines, creating the appearance of an "infinity symbol." This is what we call a "Soulmate Stone," (sometimes called “Infinity Stones”) which are a very special type of Alchemy Stone, celebrating love, relationships and the threads that connect us all to each other.These stones all feature two (or more!) mandalas hand painted on a single oblong stone, connected by lines that approximately form an infinity symbol. The mandalas are typically quite different, and yet similar. These stones are a reminder that even though we may be quite different, we are still all connected. I can make only limited numbers of these stones because the shape of the stone is quite hard to find! This is a fairly flat oblong stone, in a near-black color. Has a very nice and "soft" surface, feels good to hold in your hand. This particular stone is sold with a our organza gift bag and includes a booklet explaining the history and idea behind Alchemy Stones, along with a special insert explaining more about "soulmate" stones. Each stone, whether sold with a Treasure Bag or not comes with a brief description of Alchemy Stones and their history.A bit of background, by the stone painterI have been "seeing patterns" since I was a child, and I started drawing them when I was quite young. My mother would often save my doodles, turning them into bookmarks or notes for others as small tokens of friendship. It wasn't until I was in my 20's before someone pointed out that I was incorporating sacred geometry into the designs I was drawing. At the time, it didn't intrigue me enough to study the concept or meaning... not until another connection regarding alchemy was made much later. There is something "magical" about stones. Sarah and I have been bringing rocks home since we were children. The bookcases and shelves in our house tend to have several small collections of rocks, and Sarah is very fond of stacking them into cairns.Several years ago I first drew a delicate pattern on one of my favorite pocket stones, and gifted it to Sarah for a special occasion. For financial reasons, buying a gift was out of the question, this was all I could do at the time. The design I drew was a favorite "doodle" I was fond of recreating over and over, in varying sizes, colors and intricacy. As I concentrated on the image it was important for me to convey the depth of love I had for her into each dot, curve and shape. When people saw the original Alchemy Stone I'd given Sarah, they began asking me if I'd create one for them. Soon, I had requests for wedding gifts, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, and other important moments. I would sit quietly in silent contemplation while I focused on their request and the pattern would rise up into my consciousness. Unlike automatic writing, my designs come from "within". I am not directed by any outside force. I believe I am inspired partially by my fondness for looking at tiny repeating patterns in ature, and partially by my genetic legacy as a Danish native with strong Viking roots. Metaphysical PropertiesOccasionally in Sarah's work as a minister she will be asked to bless a space or an event; in a few circumstances the "energy" had been difficult to clear and she wondered if having a tangible item would make a difference for the home/business owner. We created a small set of stones for that purpose with excellent results. Intention combined with action will always cause a reaction!Mankind has been decorating stones, drawing on cave walls and carving into rock for eons. Humans have kept stones for luck and for their mystical properties since the beginning of recorded time. We have created stone monuments ranging from simple circles to masterful pyramids that keep scholars guessing to this day. When people visit remarkable places they are often inspired to bring back a "piece" and quite often that is just a simple, ordinary stone. Or is it? Minerals hold energetic frequencies with elements that can be measured by science. Serious paranormal investigations will note the geography of any given structure or area due to the effect certain types of minerals can have on the atmosphere. It is not a coincidence that one of the most haunted places in the United States is a famous resort hotel nestled in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains; a place very high in quartz content. Of course a simple beach rock or pebble won't have the aesthetic appeal of a clear quartz crystal point. There's no argument that the beauty of a rainbow prism in any semi precious or precious gem is always inspiring; however what I have recognized over years of experience with a variety of "just" rocks from around the world is their unwavering ability to maintain a steady "pulse" of being connected to something greater. Whether that "something" is the mountain the rock used to be a part of, the heartbeat of Gaia or the vast, profound essence of The Creator is a question of faith. It is my sincerest hope that this little piece of the Pacific Northwest will bring you -- or the person you're gifting it to -- a smile. If nothing else, that is how these ancient pieces of forgotten mountains show us their rainbows.
