Description: Up for your consideration extremely rare original Baroque style 19C Russian Imperial presentation fob/chatelaine, made of 84 gilded silver and decorated with 5 LAGRE cabochon garnets, pearls and sapphires. Absolutely amazing and rare piece, made by Jalmar Avgustocich Armfeldt (1873-1959) who was working since 1886, was an apprentice of goldsmith Paul Solman (Schollmann). He went to the German art school and Baron Shchtiglits’s college. Since 1891 worked for Faberge under A. Nevalainen leadership. In 1904 bought I.A. Aarne’s workshop and worked under the contract for Faberge. After the 1917 Bolshevik’s Revolution moved to Finland. Marked accordingly. Very good condition consistent with age and use.
