Description: Up for bid is a classic specimen from the Desert View mine with Yellow fluorescing Wollastonite and Blue Fluorescing Aragonite. Desert View Wollastonite fluoresces under SW UV and is available in both Orange fluorescing and Yellow fluorescing varieties. The Aragonite fluoresces Blue under all UV wavelengths and is also phosphorescent. The Desert View Mine is under claim and closed to collecting. The forest service has closed the roads around the mine, so even if it were open for collecting you would have a long hike. Only way to get specimens now is from old collections which is where this piece came from.
