The -1t front sprocket change is versatile because you can change back to the stock size 17t with same chain. The +2t rear sprocket change requires a different chain length, which needs altered to go back to a stock 40t. Your highway speed rpm's will be higher than orig. and terminal top speed will be less. For FREEWAY GEARING FASTER TOP SPEED, and LOWER HIGHWAY CRUISING RPM's, Request an 18t front sprocket during checkout in the "Add Message" tab. The +1t front sprocket change is more versatile because you can change back to the stock size 17t with same chain. Your initial off the line acceleration will be slightly slower than original, highway rpm's lower, and faster top speed. Original Factory Supplied OEM size sprockets are the calculated "Happy Medium" of off the line acceleration, roll on's, and reasonable high speed engine rpm's with the least amount of compromise on either top end or low end acceleration.
