Description: Antique JW Pankhurst And Co. Ironstone Covered Dish Tureen Hanley England. This is a large Ironstone covered dish or tureen made by JW Pankhurst c1850-1883. It is shiny white with beautifully detailed handles . It is marked on the bottom with the potters mark for JW Pankhurst. They were Ironstone manufacturers in Hanley, Stoke on Trent , England. This piece does have a chip and a crack on the rim under the lid. There is crazing throughout the piece. There are spots of discoloration inside the dish, around the rim , under the lid and on handles. For a piece this old the condition is good, and it displays very nicely. Farmhouse or shabby chic decor is perfect for this tureen! Measures 13 inches long x 7 inches tall x 7.5 inches wide
