Description: So I don’t play accordion but I purchased this because of two things. The floral design surrounding the brand name and the nickel plate with the lyre design in the middle. My intent was to use the accordion as a decorative piece. That didn’t happen. I did an initial test by pressing a few of bass keys and a few of the treble keys and it does make sound. The trouble is the straps are shot from old age and I couldn’t do a real test to see if it fully worked by wearing it. So it really is untested. All the keys are present and intact but the first treble and 20th one are slightly raised. Also sounds like something is loose inside.I found one photo on the internet of a present day guy playing a similar accordion from 1928 but the design on the nickel was different. The other photo I found was another guy from 1928 playing a Lyon and Healy Accordion and it was a very young Lawrence Welk. Closed the Accordion is 17x17x7 inches. The accordion comes with a case. It too has straps to secure the instrument but they too are shot. Thanks.
