DESCRIPTION - Cool pair of vintage MAUI JIM Riptide oval wrap glasses, a highly coveted and now discontinued model. These are a smaller scale frame, perfect for smaller faces. MODEL - RiptideSTYLE No - MJ 126 - 12COLOR - Cinnamon Brown Frame ~ HCL Bronze lenses CONDITION - Overall good pre-owned, some indication of previous wear. Actually, I would say nearly very good. Pre-loved, not abused. Everything is intact - no cracks, breaks or missing parts, including nose pads. Tiny bit of dust around nose pads. I left them alone - didn’t want to damage or loosen them. Hinges appear to be in very good condition. Right hinge shows a little discoloration on top. Frames are solid and temples feel secure. Left temple lifts up maybe 1/2” when frame is on a solid surface ~ pretty easy to re-align. Otherwise, temples look uniform. You may notice some faint surface wear to frames if looking closely. Nothing crazy ~ they are still fairly glossy throughout. Style and patent numbers imprinted on inside of temples appear sharp and legible. MAUI JIM branding on outer part of temples is faded and not really visible/legible. Same goes for branding on outer corner of right lens. Lenses do have some scratches which do not show up in photos. To me, they are mostly faint. When I try these glasses on, the scratches honestly don’t seem to obstruct vision. But yes, there are some small scratch marks. Right lens shows a few more compared to left lens. From some angles, lenses appear just slightly lighter around outermost perimeter.My ethic is to describe honestly, accurately and in as much detail as possible.
