Description: This antique Napoleon III box is made of black ebonized wood with white metal appliques on top and around the key escutcheon. There are decorative appliques applied to the corners of the lid with a center medallion trady for engraving and an escutcheon and four decorative feet. There is a lock and working key. The inside is lined with bright blue moire silk finished with cording. The overall condition is very good for its age: there are age related blemish to the top and a faint stain in one corner of the inside, no other defects. Measurements are: 7 3/4" by 5 1/2" and 4" tall.
