What a stool! It is 240+ years old, oversized with the original horse hair padding, the legs are elegant and long and finished with period castors. The stool has been restored to include being upholstered with a very old piece of teal green heritage leather hide, this hide has an amazing grain and patina to it The stools frame is all mahogany, there is a Butlers slip serving tray which I have never seen on a footstool before, the idea being your "Butler" would serve drinks and snacks on the tray to protect the top, normally seen on side tables and bedroom drawersThe buttons are what's called Thomas Chippendale floating buttons, these were the original form of buttons before the deep tufting we know today was invented We have cleaned waxed and polished the frame from top to bottom, it will have normal patina marks all over, the leather as mentioned is new Dimensions Height:- 36cm Width:- 67cm Depth:- 67cm, With tray 119cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask.
