Description: Rare original sepia photo of Lower Ausable Lake in the Adirondacks, by master photographer Seneca Ray Stoddard. Supremely atmospheric image with excellent tone and clarity, the location identified in pencil on back, which I believe is Stoddard's own notation. Photo measures 8.25" by 3.25" and comes affixed to paper which is then affixed to a thick cardboard mount. This image was later reproduced in postcard form (see ebay item 196638758924). In very good condition overall - image with a few scattered foxing points and some light age toning, otherwise no scrapes or dampstaining. Mount with small chip to bottom right corner. Please note the top center does not show age toning, but rather a dark cloud, perhaps a rain cloud.Buyer to pay for item plus shipping
