Description: Vintage 4 LP Lot #131: Nat King Cole - The Christmas Song, Best Of, When You're Smiling, Love Is The Thing Comments: This lot contains a great collection Nat King Cole music, including the beloved Christmas album. I listened to each and every one of these records from start to finish after cleaning them. The music sounded wonderful all the way through the 4 LPs. The album covers show some wear, as you can see in the photos. See further comments below where each album is described. Visual Record Condition: The vinyl condition varies from VG to VG+, but all of the records look decent. Individual LP grades are shown below. The records are still glossy with varying amounts of surface scuffs / light scratches. Some ticks and clicks are heard sometimes, but the records play with no skips or sticks and provide a satisfying listening experience. Record Labels Condition: Varies, but look real good for the most part. Jacket Type and Condition: The jackets conditions range from VG to EX with some amount of wear. Some of these LPs have writing or a sticker on the covers. All of the jackets are still visually pleasing and have been placed in protective poly outer sleeves to help prevent further wear. Inner Sleeve Type and Condition: Three of the records are in new replacement inner sleeves while one is in an original sleeve. The Albums In The Lot: The Christmas Song, 1976 yellow labels reissue of 1962 album: The album cover is in good looking EX ,condition with light surface and edge wear and some surface creases. The text on the spine looks good. The vinyl is in VG condition - glossy with surface scuffs and a few light scratches. The inner sleeve appears original. Someone wrote "Nat King Cole" in pencil on the inner sleeve. The record provides a great listen with great sound quality overall. General background surface noise is minimal. There are occasional light ticks and clicks. Sometimes the ticks/clicks persist for a while. There are several ticks in "Oh Tannenbaum" and persistent ticks from a scratch across "Away In A Manger". Even so, the record provides a very enjoyable listen.The Best Of Nat King Cole from around 1972: This is a Columbia House issue in a Uni-pak gatefold jacket. The jacket is in VG condition with mild surface wear and moderate wear around the edges and on the spine. There is a sticker with writing on the back side of the cover. The LP is in glossy VG+ condition. The inner sleeve is a white, paper replacement. The record plays really well with mostly negligible record surface noise. Light ticks are heard occasionally, but not that many at all. This is a super sounding collection of Nat King Cole classics.When You're Smiling from 1967: The jacket is in VG condition with mild surface and edge wear and a few light creases. There is some writing on the back side of the cover. The pasted-on back cover art work has lifted a little at one lower corner and should probably be glued down again. The LP is in glossy VG+ condition. The inner sleeve is a white, paper replacement. The record plays great with very mild general background record surface noise. The sound is beautiful and the songs are great.Love Is The Thing, UK pressing of 1957 LP: The record cover is in beautiful EX condition except for where Martha wrote her name near the top right corner. There is also what looks like an original price sticker in that corner. The inner sleeve is a new replacement. The LP is in glossy VG+ condition for the most part. There is however a scratch on the A-side that crosses most of tracks 2 and 3 and produces persistent ticks while those songs are playing. Otherwise, the background record surface noise is minimal. A few ticks/clicks are heard elsewhere including at the start of Side 2. I think the surface noise is tolerable and the record provides a satisfying listen.Shipping Notes: Several different shipping service options are available for you to choose from at check-out.
