Description: This is a real deal Faria 8,000 RPM tachometer from the 1960's. This style tachometer tachometer was made by Faria which is the same company that made the Rotunda tachometers as well as many other tachs for Ford and others. This style tach is known for being used in the infamous 1964 Ford Thunderbolt and others. This tachometer is designed to work with V8 engines and has a simply hook up of one wire to the positive side of the ignition switch and the other to the positive side of the coil. This tachometer would be right at home in a variety of applications. This tachometer is in good unrestored condition as shown. The dial is bright, chrisp, and easy to read. The curved real glass lens is clean and clear with no cracks or chips. The lens does have some debris on the inside that could be cleaned off if it bothered you. The bezel is very nice with no dings or dents. The back of the tach is ink stamped 8 CYL and Jan 1965. This tach has been tested and works well throughout the RPM band and returns to zero when powered off. This is an awesome original Faria 8K tach!
