A Little Paul History: The Gerber Paul knife is a folding knife that was designed by Paul W. Poehlmann, a highly skilled custom knife maker and mechanical engineer. In the early 1970s, Paul designed a revolutionary folding knife mechanism called the Axial Lock, known for its precision and durability. He built a series of hand-made custom knives using this mechanism and later partnered with Gerber Legendary Blades to produce the first production Paul Knife. Gerber produced over 70,000 of the 2-P model before discontinuing it in 1986. The knife was reintroduced in 1996 as the Series II, Model 2 Paul Knife, but production was discontinued in 1997. The Paul Knife is highly sought after by collectors due to its unique mechanism and design. Please feel free to message me with any questions you may have!
