Description: Vintage Pair of Handmade Folk Art Dolls from antique fabric 14” Country Style. This is a really great pair of dolls. The girls dress and the boys shirt are made from brown homespun fabric the maker pulled off the back of an old quilt. It has a small little check in it. The girls apron is made from an old scarf with a like edging of crochet. The boys pants are from an old quilt and has two mother of pearl bottoms on them. The boy has a little sailor hat. The girl has muslin pantaloons on. Their faces are drawn on with colored pencils. Their hair is a reddish color and has slight fading. I bought these at a small Craft Show in Central Alabama in the late 1970s. I don’t remember the artists name but I admired her work so much. It was very neat, very meticulously done. ✔️ these are great dolls. I’m 81 and having to downsize my wonderful collections. Thanks for looking.
