Description: Vintage 2 slice Toastmaster Art Deco, Chrome Toaster. Research tells me this is from the 1940's. All looks in good shape except the plug. The plug, she looks pretty rough and needs replacing. Chrome is nice and clean. The bakelite handles are in good shape. There is one very small chip in the bake lite along bottom edge. Short story about this toaster. My wife and I stopped at a Moving / Estate sale and the minute we walked into the kitchen we both said the same thing. Where's the cool toaster. It just felt like we'd stepped back into the 1950's. We searched for a few minutes to no avail. By luck I ran into a family member of the home and asked her if they had sold the toaster. She told me they didn't sell it, but set it in the garage for trash day because the plug was shot. I dug it out of the garage and as I suspected it was a nice shiny Toastmaster with the bakelite handles. I used the air compressor to clean out all the toast crumbs. Wiped it off a bit and here she is ready for a new home. I have not tested it, since the plug is in such bad shape. I did try out the popup mechanism and it seemed to work.
