Description: Since the days of the old AFL, the Oakland Raiders played a mean, nasty brand of football that endeared them to their fans, and struck fear in the hearts of their opponents. Linebacker Kirk Morrison fit right in with the "Silver and Black" when he was selected by the Raiders in the 3rd round of the 2005 draft after a standout career at San Diego State. With his raw athleticism, tireless work ethic, and natural leadership ability, Morrison became the heart and soul of the Raiders defense during his tenure from 2005-2009, and led the team in tackles year after year. This Vintage 2000s REEBOK OAKLAND RAIDERS KIRK MORRISON #52 GAME WORN NFL FOOTBALL JERSEY is in very good condition, with some scattered "browning" and dark soiling around the hem, shoulders, and sleeves, a few scattered loose stitches throughout, and with some scattered game and age wear evident (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the jersey is in fine shape, with absolutely no rips, holes, tears, or other damage to the tough "away" white 100% nylon construction, with the shoulders, neck, and sides being solid, and the body being ventilated mesh. Most interestingly, it bears the large number "52" sewn in silver trimmed black "tackle twill" at the chest and back, carries a smaller number "52" in matching "tackle twill" below a silver and black Reebok logo patch sewn at each shoulder, and exhibits the matching "tackle twill" sewn nameplate of "MORRISON" at the upper back. It boasts the original "03-46" year and size tag sewn at the inside neck; though the jersey was made and issued to the team in 2003, and Morrison wasn't drafted until 2005, that's quite common for the Raiders, who are a notoriously parsimonious franchise, and reuse and recycle jerseys and other gear year after year. It sports the original "EQUIPMENT / NFL / REEBOK" maker's label with addition "4" L.B." and "46" side tags at the front left hem, features the original "100% NYLON / MADE IN / BERLIN, WI. / U.S.A." maker's label at the interior lower right side, and exhibits an "EQUIPMENT / NFL" shield logo patch sewn at the central meeting point of the front collar. The jersey likely dates to Morrison's first three seasons for the Raiders (2005, 2006, 2007), for in 2008 the Raiders wore a "GU" patch in honor of Gene Upshaw, and in 2009 they wore a "50" year Raiders anniversary patch. This is a wonderful gamer from an old stalwart Raiders linebacker. A fine example of a very rare, original Vintage 2000s REEBOK OAKLAND RAIDERS KIRK MORRISON #52 GAME WORN NFL FOOTBALL JERSEY. We have shown a photo of Kirk Morrison playing against the Tennessee Titans during his 2005 rookie campaign with the Raiders wearing a very similar "away" jersey.
